2014-Now, IT Architect (Progressive A/S, Denmark)
Progressive A/S is a hosting provider for smaller companies. I function as the lead architect for a number of existing customers and perform presales activities for new potential customers. Part of my work involves writing analysis, requirements -and design documents. Other activities include implementation, troubleshooting, documentation and education of technical personal.

2011-2014, IT Architect (ATEA A/S, Denmark)
Working as IT Architect with a number of large customers. My work involves writing analysis, requirements -and design documents, technical project management, implementing designs and troubleshooting technical problems. Most projects have evolved around Microsoft SCCM and large-scale Windows 7 deployments.

2007-2011, Senior Specialist (DSV A/S, Denmark)
I joined a team of entrepreneurs with the goal to build the new Group-IT function in DSV A/S potentially with 20.000+ customers. One of the goals was to insource existing services from IBM. I architected the solution based on Microsoft System Center components to enable deployment of the Windows infrastructure. SCOM 2007 monitoring, SCCM 2007 deployment and in 2008 Microsoft Forefront antivirus protection being part of the solution. To be able to virtualize systems we choose to utilize VMware. It took about two years and a number of organizational changes to complete the insourcing project. In parallel to insourcing we delivered new services to the business mainly driven from the virtual infrastructure. As Group-IT grow and proved to be able to deliver the requested services to the business, we started to integrate, migrate and host systems from DSV acquired companies. Migration of country specific domains is still in progress.Currently we focus on documenting and maturing our processes based on ITIL.

Working as IT architect mainly with SCCM2003, MOM2005 and general Microsoft Server infrastructure for large customers.

Promoted to Senior IT Architect with two 2nd level specialists under my wings. Main projects and implementations: Citrix Metaframe Presentation Server, Symantec Antivirus, MS MOM 2005, MS WSUS, HP Systems Insight Manager and a number of global client software implementations.

2004, Senior Technical Specialist (The Smith’s Snackfood Company)
Main focus on bringing the server infrastructure up to speed moving from NT4 to Windows 2003 utilizing Blade, SAN and robotic libraries technologies. Meanwhile implementing: MS SUS, Altiris deployment and notification services, Veritas netbackup software, SiteScope surveillance, Building new SOE’s for Servers and desktops distributed via. PXE in between stabilising Trend Micro Antivirus, DNS, WINS, RAS, DHCP, WAN and LAN.

2001-2003, Team Leader and MCSE 2000 (NNE A/S, Denmark)
Promoted by NNE A/S (approx. 1600 employed) to Team leader of IT Infrastructure and support (BackOffice). Having done well as IT technology specialist I was officially promoted to Team Leader of IT Infrastructure and support with 11 persons employed.
I completed the final exam (self-study) to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer 2000 (MCSE 2000)

Promoted by NNE A/S (approx. 700 employed) to IT Technology specialist.
My new focus was on the IT infrastructure of the company. I was I charge of implementing new technologies and services. The Infrastructure group grow from one to three persons over the next couple of years.

1997, Support manager (NNE A/S, Denmark)
Promoted by NNE A/S (approx. 500 employed) to support manager. I was in charge of purchase, delivery and services of PC’s to the end users. The support team consisted of three people.

1995-1996, Full time employment by NNE A/S, Denmark
NNE A/S (approx. 400 employed) offered me a fulltime job as IT Project coordinator, which I accepted. My main focus was to test, integrate and implement new computer systems.

1994, Project management (NNE A/S, Denmark)
Back home in Denmark I continued to run my one man IT Company now focusing on infrastructure and Project management. My only customer now was NNE A/S (approx. 300 employed).

1993, Working “down under” (Pollak Partners)
I completed my bachelor degree in Computer Engineering.
My wife and I got a working holiday visa for Australia. In Sydney, Australia I got a job in the company: Pollak Partners where I integrated Lotus Notes with cc:Mail and established an infrastructure to connect the main office with the two affiliate offices located in different parts of the country. I also did some optimizing on the main Lotus Notes database including change of hardware and OS platform of the Notes Server. The Visa only allowed us to work for 3 month at a time so we enjoyed the next 6 month travelling all over Australia in a Van. Returning to Sydney I worked for Pollak Partners for another month.

1992-1993, Starting my own company (Kim Jensen, Denmark)
I started my own “one man” IT Consultant Company with only two customers. I mainly delivered IT support but soon began developing Lotus Notes applications for one of my customer.
